Summer Game Fest kicked off the reveals with the massive news of a brand new Prince of Persia game! Finally! The new game, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, will launch on January 18th, 2024. More will be revealed during Ubisoft’s showcase on Monday.
Dash into a stylish and thrilling action-adventure platformer set in a mythological Persian world where the boundaries of time and space are yours to manipulate. Play as Sargon and evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is a 2-D sidescroller action platformer developed by Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio behind Rayman Legends, and will feature a score composed by Iranian-born composer Mentrix, who will be joining Gareth Coker, best known for his work on Ori and the Will of the Wisps.
In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you play as a Persian warrior named Sargon as you search the cursed region of Mount Qaf for the missing Prince Ghassan. The gameplay trailer, shown below, showcases some of the game’s many challenges, including platforming dangers, puzzles, and boss battles.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and Amazon Luna on January 18th, 2024. More about the game will be revealed at Ubisoft Forward on Monday, June 12th.
