The first teaser trailer has just been released for Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, a spinoff of Max’s popular animated series Harley Quinn.
On Thursday, the Kite Man: Hell Yeah! teaser was released online, revealing new footage with the titular supervillain slipping into the central role. The series, which was formerly titled Noonan’s before getting its official name, focuses primarily on Kite Man as he buys Noonan’s Bar, a popular location for the various supervillains of Gotham City. The teaser shows Kite Man on the job, divulging an odd story from his childhood that’s definitely not safe for work. It’s clear from the teaser, which runs about a minute long, that the spinoff will not be any less violent or vulgar than its parent series. Fans can check out the trailer below.

Matt Oberg returns from Harley Quinn to lend his voice to Kite Man. It’s expected that Kaley Cuoco and Lake Bell will be featured as the voices of Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy, respectively, to help launch the spinoff, but they are not expected to have big parts in the 10-episode series. Given its setting, chances are many other notable supervillains will be appearing, perhaps including others who first showed up in Harley Quinn.

“Harley Quinn unlocked a world of hilarious possibilities with the iconic superheroes and supervillains of the DC Universe,” Warner Bros. Animation’s Peter Girardi said in a statement when the spinoff was announced. “Exploring this world further with our partners at [Max] and DC is going to be a lot of fun. Plus, after getting dumped by Poison Ivy, the least we could do was give Kite Man his own show.”
Suzanna Makkos of Max and Adult Swim added, “We love the wild and fun world of Harley Quinn so much we just had to make a spinoff and who better to center it around than the outcast Kite Man.”
Kite Man: Hell Yeah! will start streaming on Max in 2024.
