This weekend, two wonderful worlds collide as Brian Yuzna and Anastasia Elfman host a screening of Return of the Living Dead 3 on June 7th in Beverly Hills. The event occurs during the Shock-A-Go-Go Film Festival.
In addition to directing Return of the Living Dead 3, Brian Yuzna produced cult classics like Re-Animator, From Beyond, and Dolls. He also directed Society, Bride of Re-Animator, and Silent Night, Deadly Night 4: Initiation. Alongside longtime collaborator Stuart Gordon, Yuzna co-wrote the 1989 Disney megahit Honey, I Shrunk the Kids.
Anastasia Elfman is an actress, dancer, and burlesque artist who recently starred in the hilariously gory Bloody Bridget, written and directed by Richard Elfman. The 2024 film follows Bridget O’Brian (Elfman), a burlesque dancer who transforms into a Valentine Vampire. A sequel to the film is currently in development.
Elfman will perform a bloody burlesque show before the screening of Return of the Living Dead 3 at the Shock-A-Go-Go Film Festival. Yuzna will also attend and participate in a Q&A following the film.

The duo has more projects in the works, including a one-woman show featuring Elfman as The Bride from Bride of Re-Animator. Alongside Richard Elfman, they are creating a new horror hostess show starring Anastasia Elfman as Bloody Bridget, which will blend elements of “Vampira, The Crypt Keeper, Elvira, and a sprinkle of Pee-wee’s Playhouse.” The hostess will discuss a variety of horror-themed topics, including favorite films and creators.
The Shock-A-Go-Go Film Festival takes place on June 7-8 at the Lumiere Cinema in the Music Hall (9036 Wilshire Blvd, Beverly Hills, CA, 90211). The screening of the Return of the Living Dead 3 begins at 9:45 PM. General admission passes are priced at $15 per show, while full single-day passes cost $45.
