Musical Tribute to John Williams at Toronto’s Roy Thomson Hall

The FILMharmonique Orchestra resumes its tour this fall and in style, bringing fans of all ages performances of Music at the Movies – A Tribute to John Williams. Led by conductor Francis Choinière, the critically acclaimed production will tour six Canadian cities, stopping at Toronto’s famous Roy Thomson Hall on Sept. 26, 2025. The production brings together over 75 musicians and 100 choristers as they pay tribute to one of the most influential composers in the history of cinema.

The John Williams musical universe is vast and astounding in its scope of influence over the years. There will be selections from well-known films, including Star Wars, Harry Potter, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Jaws, E.T., and many more. It is an excellent chance for fans to both rediscover their love of these classic films and the music that is entrenched in our souls, and also marvel at the talents of the FILMharmonique Orchestra and the accompanying choristers, combining for an amazing night all around. 

About the FILMharmonique Orchestra

The FILMharmonique Orchestra, composed of world-class Canadian musicians, is Canada’s premier film music orchestra. Since its founding in 2015, the FILMharmonique Orchestra has presented sold-out film concerts every year. The FILMharmonique Orchestra has also accompanied many internationally renowned artists, including Hans Zimmer, Andrea Bocelli, Stevie Wonder, Ramin Djawadi (Game of Thrones), Ute Lemper, Patrick Bruel, and Stacey Kent.

The Orchestra’s mission is to make classical music accessible to a wider audience. For some members of its audience, FILMharmonique concerts are their first experience of live classical music. Its goal is both to attract existing audiences and to cultivate a new, inclusive audience of classical concertgoers across Canada.

GFN Productions is a Quebec-based music producer and promoter, presenting over 75 concerts each year across Canada. The company has worked with a diverse range of artists, but specializes in the production of large-scale symphonic concerts and orchestral recordings.
