The Scream franchise keeps going strong, even three decades after the first film premiered. The last two movies, Scream (2022) and Scream VI, have seen the loss of beloved characters, the introduction of new fan-favorite characters, and the absence of Neve Campbell’s Sidney Prescott in the most recent installment. As we see in the new Scream 7 trailer, the upcoming sequel is going back to its roots, with Sidney (and many others) returning to the franchise.
When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.
Besides Campbell, other original Scream trilogy stars are also returning, including Courteney Cox as Gale Weathers, David Arquette as Dewey Riley, Matthew Lillard as Stu Macher, and Scott Foley as Roman Bridger. Mason Gooding and Jasmin Savoy Brown will also reprise their roles as Chad Meeks-Martin and Mindy Meeks-Martin, respectively, from Scream (2022) and Scream VI.
