The fourth season trailer for the animated series Invincible has been released. It has also been confirmed that the new season will include a reunion of The Walking Dead fan favorites.
Invincible will return to Prime Video with the launch of Season 4 on March 18. For now, new teases are trickling in to give fans a sneak peek at the new season. On X, the official account for Invincible shared some fresh images of Season 4, and among them is a shot of Atom Eve (Gillian Jacobs) punching the green-skinned character Universa. Also announced is that Danai Gurira is providing the voice of the Universa character.

Gurira is well known for her role in The Walking Dead as Michonne, one of the franchise’s most popular characters. Steven Yeun, who voices the titular role in Invincible, also played Glenn on The Walking Dead. This marks a special reunion by bringing together two of the most popular stars of the Walking Dead cast. It’s the first time Gurira and Yeun have done a project together since Michonne and Glenn were at Negan’s mercy at the start of The Walking Dead Season 7, with the latter meeting his demise. However, Yeun attended the premiere of Gurira’s The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live in early 2024, though Glenn did not appear onscreen in the series.
Still, Gurira’s casting is still far from the first time an alum from the zombie drama joined Invincible. Both shows are directly based on comic books created by Robert Kirkman, and other Walking Dead stars who’ve previously voiced roles on Invincible include Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) as Conquest, Lauren Cohan (Maggie) as Warwoman, Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha) as Green Ghost, Lennie James (Morgan) as Darkwing, Ross Marquand (Aaron) as The Immortal, and Khary Payton (Ezekiel) as Black Samson.
