Choptop Bill Moseley in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2
The Cannon Group

Bill Moseley’s Chop Top has been one of the horror genre’s most popular antagonists since his introduction in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. Famously, the character was set to return in a sequel short film in the works with William Hooper, son of the original director Tobe Hooper, with Moseley on board.

Unfortunately, the movie, titled All American: Massacre, halted production due to funding issues. A trailer later emerged online, but the unfinished sequel was never released.

Over 25 years later, All American Massacre is now in the process of being restored for an official release. A CineBacker campaign has been launched to raise the required funding to complete and release the newly restored footage. The goal is £75,000, and as of this writing, just under £12,000 has been raised with 27 days left to go. Donors will be included in the release’s special thanks and receive a shout-out on social media.

“This long-buried spin-off, newly resurrected and brought to life by DRagonSTUDIOS, plunges deep into the fractured psyche of one of horror’s most unforgettable villains: Chop ‘Bloody Bobby’ Top,” the description reads. “Rising from the ashes of his family’s blood-soaked legacy, Bloody Bobby returns, this time with the brutal assistance of his chainsaw-wielding brother, Leathe(RRR)face to carve a new path of terror through a modern world that has forgotten what true fear feels like. Along the way, we encounter members of the family long thought lost to time.”

It continues, “From within the prison he now calls home, Bloody Bobby’s story unfolds in a chilling descent into madness, blurring the line between biography and massacre between confession and carnage. Featuring a new generation of victims, survivors, and unsuspecting souls, this long-awaited chapter reimagines the Texas Chainsaw mythology with the gritty realism, dark humor, and relentless energy that made the original films legendary.”

To finish the film for a proper release, new footage has been shot. The old footage has been meticulously restored with remixed audio as well. In addition to Bill Moseley’s return as Chop Top, it’s also known that the film will feature Miguel Nunez Jr., one of the stars of Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning and The Return of the Living Dead.
