Mr. Reset and the Society of Turnbuckle & Bone is an upcoming film that blends wrestling, horror, and dark comedy. Directed by Audacity Complex Studios’ Jedediah Koszewski, the film features professional wrestler Vinny Pacifico as the rising wrestling star Vinny “Power Punch” Pacifico.
“Mr. Reset and the Society of Turnbuckle & Bone explores a secret society manipulating professional wrestling from behind the scenes. Promising fame and fortune, the society traps hopefuls in a world of illusion, psychological trials, and intense sacrifice. This genre-bending film fuses dark comedy and horror to reveal the true cost of chasing stardom.”
In anticipation of the film’s upcoming release, we spoke with Pacifico about his passion for the genre and his experience bringing such an ambitious role to life on screen.
HGL: Horror and wrestling have a pretty big crossover when it comes to fans, and I’d love to know how you first discovered your passion for horror.
Vinny Pacifico: My passion for the horror genre started out at a very young age when I was growing up, and my mother would decorate the house with Halloween decorations. She had a specific collection of Universal Monsters, from Frankenstein to Dracula to the Mummy to the Wolf Man. That’s where the love of horror started for me. I watched Dark Shadows with my grandmother as well.
To this day, I watch Universal Monster movies with my father-in-law. It’s truly one of our favorite things to do together.

HGL: And now you’re starring in one! How did you get involved with Mr. Reset and the Society of Turnbuckle & Bone, and can you tell us a bit about your character?
Vinny Pacifico: I got involved in Mr. Reset after the director watched me get bullied early on in my wrestling career. He saw how people tried to take advantage of me, he saw how much I love wrestling, and the passion that burned inside me. So he decided to make a movie based off of the dark sides of the entertainment industry and how people take advantage of young up-and-comers who are naive.
I play Vinny “Power Punch” Pacifico (myself) in the film. It was very easy for me to pull all sides of my character out for this film because I play myself amped up times ten.

HGL: Mr. Reset’s mix of different subgenres and its dive into a bigger conspiracy are quite ambitious. What was the most challenging part of bringing such a detailed script to life?
Vinny Pacifico: This film does an amazing job at combining tons of subgenres when it comes to horror, comedy, psychological thriller, anime, and wrestling. Genuinely, this movie has something for everyone. We wanted to combine real-life stories with fun and interesting ways to tell stories that have never been done before. We want viewers from all different fandoms of entertainment.
The most challenging part for me was being able to execute this character in a way I haven’t before. If you’ve seen me wrestle before, you know my character, you know ME. But now you see me go through trials and tribulations in this dark world, so I had to figure out “What would Vinny do in this situation?” I ended up learning a lot about myself and character growth while filming this.

HGL: Speaking of the filming process, what was your favorite part of production?
Vinny Pacifico: My favorite part of production was getting to really dig deep into this character and to see how this character explores this new universe. One of my favorite parts of this production was also filming alongside my wife [Carly Pacifico], who co-starred with me. She played my wife/herself. It made filming fun and just an amazing experience all around to be able to do this with my wife. Grateful as can be.
HGL: Beyond the wonderful experience of working alongside your wife, how did you find the overall dynamic during production?
Vinny Pacifico: The dynamic filming this movie was honestly one of my favorites. It was so laid-back; everyone involved had so much passion for the project. We also got to go to Disney World as a way to wrap up the production. This was also the start of my love for Disney.
I have never been to Disney prior to this, but this film is inspired by Disney. Going to Disney World for the wrap party was such an amazing main event to an amazing week of filming.
HGL: For wrestling and horror fans eager to check it out, when and where can they expect to see Mr. Reset?
Vinny Pacifico: Mr. Reset and The Society of Turnbuckle and Bone is looking at a spring release to multiple streaming platforms!
