We talked with the lovely singer and actress Tuesday Knight. Tuesday has dabbled in it all, but she first got her fame in A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master. We talked about her iconic role as Kristen, what it was like to work with Wes Craven and Robert Englund, as well as upcoming projects and more!
Horror Geek Life: Kristen seemed to be the perfect role for you. Did you feel any pressure playing Kristen after Patricia Arquette’s previous performance in Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors?
Tuesday Knight: Yes, I did at first, but then I just had to make the part my own because that was the only way I wouldn’t shadow her. Later on, I ran into her at a Blockbuster Video store, and she told me that I was the better Kristen! I was blown away- she’s amazing.
Horror Geek Life: Wow, that’s so awesome that she said that. I love both of your interpretations of Kristen, but you definitely made it your own, and stood out. What was it like to work with the legendary Wes Craven?
Tuesday Knight: Working with Wes Craven was magical and intense. He was totally warm and supportive. I was also honored that I was the only one he brought to New Nightmare from NOES 4. And again, I was so excited and grateful for the experience. He will forever be missed.
Horror Geek Life: Yes, he most definitely will! Speaking of working with amazing people, what was like it to work with Robert Englund and be one of Freddy’s victims?
Tuesday Knight: Robert was, and is, a pleasure to work with. He’s such a wonderful actor, and he made Freddy Krueger magical. Scary, yet funny. Plus, he’s also a very supportive actor, which is rare these days.

Horror Geek Life: If you could have played any other character in the NOES franchise, who would it be?
Tuesday Knight: I think I’d play my mother in NOES 4, who was played by Brooke Bundy. She was way cool, and she just gave a great performance, as always.
Horror Geek Life: Speaking of playing a different role, if another remake happens in the future and you had the opportunity to participate in it, would you?
Tuesday Knight: Yes, I definitely would as long as Robert was Freddy because there is no other Freddy, period!!!
Horror Geek Life: As a huge Robert Englund fan, I’m a little biased, but I totally agree completely. Beyond NOES, what has been your favorite role or movie?
Tuesday Knight: My favorite role would have to be in 2000 Malibu Road. It was character-driven in every way, and the director, Joel Schumacher, was my favorite! He really believed in me and gave me the role of a lifetime. I never would’ve gotten that role if he didn’t fight for me. They wanted a very heavy unattractive girl, so I wore a pregnant suit and prosthetics, and a brown wig to make it work. It was amazing as an actress to not have to worry if I was pretty or too fat or anything! I was simply just an actress, and it was about the craft, not how I looked. Brilliant!
Horror Geek Life: I bet that was a wonderful experience actually being able to show who you’re as an actress beyond your beauty. Do you have any upcoming projects that you would like to talk about?
Tuesday Knight: Right now, I’m working on my third CD that will be out in June. Also, I have a few projects in the works! One, I can’t say anything about it, but a hint is… orange is my favorite color! Also, a film called Tainted Love and another pilot called Second Shooter. Hopefully, I’ll stay busy because I love to work!
