‘Overwatch’ Archives Event Adds Retribution Mission, Skins, and More

It’s hardly been a month since the last Overwatch seasonal event ended, and we’re already getting a new one! Taking the place of last year’s Overwatch Uprising is Overwatch Archives. This event will run from April 10th until April 30th.

Overwatch Archives will bring back last year’s King Row mission that featured Tracer on her first mission ever alongside Mercy, Torbjorn, and Reinhardt as they rid Kings Row of an uprising led by a group of omnics known as Null Sector. The Kings Row mission is a little different this time around as you will be able to play as any hero you choose in the new All Heroes Mode.

Archives will also give us a new mission, titled Retribution, that follows Genji, McCree, Reaper, and Moira as members of Blackwatch as they take on the evil Talon. A trailer was released today teasing the mission alongside a brand-new comic that gives us a closer look at Blackwatch and Retribution.

This seasonal event will also bring back Uprising Brawl from last year’s event, and add 100 new cosmetic items such as skins, sprays, highlight intros, emotes, and more. All of the previous years Uprising cosmetics will also be available through purchase or lootboxes, including that Combat Medic Ziegler skin (need it!).

Overwatch Archives will run from April 10th to 30th and will kick off around 2 PM (EST) on Tuesday.
