Dead by Daylight

Starting today, the asymmetrical multiplayer horror game Dead by Daylight will be hosting their Summer Bloodfeast Event on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The event will run until midnight on Tuesday, August 8th. Over the next few days, developer Behaviour Interactive will be offering exclusive rewards for all players able to complete the challenge set before them.

The Challenge:
Players will get triple Bloodpoints (think XP) all weekend long, and if players can accumulate 150 billion, there will be some awesome rewards in store. That sounds like an insanely high number, but, again, Bloodpoints will be tripled.

The Rewards:
On PC:  Allow the Anniversary Bloodpoint offerings spawns until the next Community Event.

On Console:  Access to Anniversary Bloodpoint offerings + allow the Anniversary Bloodpoint offerings spawns until the next Community Event.

Dead By Daylight Summer Bloodfeast Event

This should be an exciting event, especially for those who are new to the game via the recent Xbox One and PlayStation 4 launch. There has also been a lot of hype around the game as they prepare to bring the Halloween and Michael Myers DLC to console. The DLC has been available for their 1.8 million (and counting) PC players and now Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will get a chance to kill as the iconic slasher. It will also allow survivors to play as Laurie Strode and explore a new Haddonfield suburban map. That update will be available later this month.

Recently in an interview with DVS Gaming, Mathieu Cote, producer of Dead by Daylight, had this to say about bringing more iconic horror characters to the game:

“We are in a position where we’ve talked to a few license holders about a few possible licenses, and we’re open to it. Our universe that we’ve created, the lore needs to lend itself some specific licenses joining us. Michael Meyers fit well into our world. We didn’t have to bend rules to make him fit, and we could find a way to express what he stands for as a killer with game mechanics. For us its important that if we look for an opportunity a license to add into the game, they need to be a match at the start. Obviously, we want to respect and honor what those characters are. But they need to bring something new and exciting to enhance our game.”
