For the month of September 2018, Netflix is saying goodbye to a few horror movie titles while adding several new ones to its lineup. Although great films like Ghostbusters and The Descent are being pulled, there may be some new titles coming in which may help fill the void. Delirium

Synopsis: After being released from a psychiatric hospital, a man comes into his inheritance when his parents die, However, after a series of mysterious events, he comes to the conclusion the house that his parents left him is haunted.

The Keeping Hours

Synopsis: Successful attorney Mark (Lee Pace) returns to his old house after the renters skipped out on rent. While there he experiences a supernatural event that forces him to reach out to his ex-wife (Carrie Coon). Ten years after their son’s death, a ghost will help reunite the estranged couple and deliver a message of life or death.

King Kong

Synopsis: Peter Jackson’s expansive remake of the 1933 classic follows director Carl Denham (Jack Black) and his crew on a journey from New York City to the ominous Skull Island to film a new movie. Accompanying him are playwright Jack Driscoll (Adrien Brody) and actress Ann Darrow (Naomi Watts), who is whisked away by the monstrous ape, Kong, after they reach the island. The crew encounters dinosaurs and other creatures as they race to rescue Ann, while the actress forms a bond with her simian captor.

Stephanie

Synopsis: A young girl, Stephanie is abandoned by her parents and forced to survive on her own. When her parents return, they are surprised to find her alive after they discover dark, supernatural forces are wreaking havoc, with Stephanie at the center of the turmoil.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

Synopsis: Chrissie (Jordana Brewster) and her friends (Matthew Bomer, Taylor Handley, Diora Baird) set out on a road trip for a final fling before one is shipped off to Vietnam. Along the way, bikers (Lee Tergesen, Cyia Batten) harass the foursome and cause an accident that throws Chrissie from the vehicle. The lawman who arrives on the scene kills one of the bikers and brings Chrissie’s friends to the Hewitt homestead, where young Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski) is learning the tools of terror.

Life

Synopsis: Life tells the story of the six-member crew of the International Space Station that is on the cutting edge of one of the most important discoveries in human history: the first evidence of extraterrestrial life on Mars. As the crew begins to conduct research, their methods end up having unintended consequences and the life form proves more intelligent than anyone ever expected.

The Witch

Synopsis: In 1630 New England, panic and despair envelops a farmer, his wife and their children when youngest son Samuel suddenly vanishes. The family blames Thomasin, the oldest daughter who was watching the boy at the time of his disappearance. With suspicion and paranoia mounting, twin siblings Mercy and Jonas suspect Thomasin of witchcraft, testing the clan’s faith, loyalty and love to one another.
