Next month, the most anticipated horror movie of the year will finally be hitting theaters. A sequel to John Carpenter’s 1978 film of the same name, David Gordon Green’s Halloween brings back Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode for one last battle with Michael Myers. Ignoring every other sequel in the series, the new film takes the franchise back to its roots, and most fans couldn’t be more excited.

The previously-released trailer from Blumhouse gave fans a great look at what to expect from the film. Today, an all new official trailer has just been released, giving us all an even better look!

In the trailer, Michael Myers is once again stalking the streets in his trademark white mask on Halloween night. Going from house to house, Michael is killing as many of the people of Haddonfield as he can in brutal, random, and horrifying ways. We can see that the best hope to stop the madness is Laurie Strode, who’s been lying in wait for 40 years to finally kill the boogeyman.

Synopsis: It’s been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. She now faces a terrifying showdown when Michael returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, Laurie is ready for him.

Also recently released by Blumhouse is an all new poster for the film. Jamie Lee Curtis is prominently featured as Laurie Strode, with her tormentor facing her in the background. It’s a creepy yet awesome poster, and you can take a look at it below.

The film also marks John Carpenter’s return to the franchise as an executive producer – Carpenter is scoring the film as well. In addition to Curtis returning as Laurie, original Michael Myers actor Nick Castle reprises the role for a cameo, sharing the part with James Jude Courtney. The cast additionally includes Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner.

Watch David Gordon Green’s Halloween when it premieres in theaters everywhere on Oct. 19.
