Perhaps the only films just as fun to watch as horror flicks are the documentaries made about them. For major fans, it’s always interesting to see just how some of our favorite genre films came to be. Find out which ones to watch out for as we take a look at six upcoming horror documentaries which have us intrigued the most.

Pennywise: The Story of IT is going to dive deep into Stephen King’s IT, focusing primarily on the 1990 mini-series and its portrayal of Pennywise by legendary actor Tim Curry. Right away, we know to expect quality from the film solely based on the team behind it. Both You’re So Cool, Brewster! The Story of Fright Night and Unearthed & Untold: The Path to Pet Sematary are amazing watches, and we’re fully expecting this documentary to be the same way.
With behind-the-scenes clips and footage from over 50 interviews, every fan of the original Pennywise is going to want to see this. Many of the cast and crew of the show will be featured, including the legendary Tim Curry himself. Now in post-production, the anticipated launch of the documentary seems to be imminent, but there isn’t yet an official release date attached.
