Perhaps the only films just as fun to watch as horror flicks are the documentaries made about them. For major fans, it’s always interesting to see just how some of our favorite genre films came to be. Find out which ones to watch out for as we take a look at six upcoming horror documentaries which have us intrigued the most.

2The Party’s Just Begun: The Legacy of Night of the Demons

Night of the Demons was first released in 1988, instantly becoming a cult classic. Lead actress Amelia Kinkade would reprise her role as the demonic Angela in two follow-up films, creating a fan favorite franchise in the process. In 2009, the series was given new life in the form of a film remake. Next, from the same people bringing us Pennywise: The Story of ITThe Party’s Just Begun: The Legacy of Night of the Demons will shine a spotlight on all four films in the franchise.

While each of the installments in the series have their critics, they all have their fans as well. It’s intriguing that each of the films will be given their time to shine in the doc, rather than focusing solely on the 1988 original. All new interviews with the cast and crew of all four movies will be featured in the doc, including Amelia Kinkade, Kevin Tenney, and Linnea Quigley. The film will also introduce previously-unseen footage from the sets, as well as a look at conceptual art, publicity materials, and so much more.

  1. I grew up with Nightmare on Elm Street 2 when it was on HBO alot back then in the early mid 1980s right before Elm Street 3. Back then when Elm Street 2 was just a sequel and that was it. None of that bullcrap about the movie being “gay” or whatever
