3Lisa Marie had to be sewn into her dress
One of the most interesting of all the film’s wacky characters is Lisa Marie’s “Martian Girl.” Without saying a single word, the undercover Martian manages to infiltrate the White House. The character wears a skin-tight dress, and a closer look will reveal that there are no buttons of zippers anywhere on the fabric. This is because the dress was literally sewn onto Marie’s body each shoot, and the actress couldn’t even sit until after she’d completed filming for the day.
Additionally, Marie has revealed that the bizarre hairpiece worn by the Martian Girl left her with a permanent scar on her head. However, it seems to be a bodily memento she’s proud of. “I got a hole in my head from that damn wig!” Marie recalled in a 2015 interview. “It’s always worth it, no complaints. Whatever it takes, just to get that picture.”
