Elias Voorhees Arrives in ‘Friday the 13th: Vengeance’ Trailer

The full theatrical trailer has been released for the fan film Friday the 13th: Vengeance, and the movie totally looks badass. While not an “official” installment of the Friday the 13th franchise, the trailer shows that the film is very well-made and should definitely satisfy every major fan of the series. Better yet, former Jason actors C. J. Graham and Steve Dash can both be seen in the film and are featured prominently in the trailer. Add on top of that the the music of Harry Manfredini, and Vengeance certainly feels like a genuine Friday the 13th movie to me.

Perhaps the most compelling aspect of the film is that it will finally introduce Jason’s previously-unseen father, Elias Voorhees. While the character has been featured in comic books, this will be the first time he has been featured in a Jason movie. The trailer shows that Elias and Jason will once again come face to face after all these years, but it leaves the mind to wander as to how this showdown will turn out. Is Elias here to help Jason, or has he come to stop him?

Synopsis: Vengeance takes place roughly thirty years after the events of Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI. The story begins with Elias Voorhees, Jason’s father, returning to Crystal Lake and a string of grisly murders that soon follows his arrival. After hearing the news of the most recent killings Tommy Jarvis then goes missing, which leaves it up to his daughter Angelica Jarvis to rise to the challenge of not only finding her father, but also finding a way to destroy his old nemesis Jason Voorhees in the process. Armed with knowledge never previously known about Jason, Angelica may prove to be his greatest threat yet, which culminates in an epic showdown of Jarvis vs. Voorhees.
