It’s time to prepare for a Friday the 13th movie marathon, as the first eight films in the series are all streaming on Hulu. While many fans may have some or all of the movies on DVD, Blu-ray, or even VHS, the ease of binging them all on one streaming service provides an easy excuse to watch the films again. It’s worth pointing out that these films are not always available on any streaming service to check out, so it’s best to take advantage of it now.
The first eight films of the series are all included, starting with the original Friday the 13th all the way up to Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan. After this film was made, New Line Cinema acquired the rights to the series, releasing Jason Goes to Hell and later Jason X. Of course, they were also behind the crossover movie Freddy vs. Jason as well. It’s debated as to whether the New Line films are set in the same universe as the film series at paramount, but some fans consider the original storyline over with the conclusion of Jason Takes Manhattan.
That also makes two of four Jason movies to star Kane Hodder. Of course, Hodder first took the role in Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood from director John Carl Buechler, forever becoming synonymous with the character. He’d reprise the role again for Manhattan, Hell, and X before being unceremoniously recast for Freddy vs. Jason. Years removed from playing Jason, Hodder is still very beloved by Friday fans for his time in the role.
Still, whether your personal favorite Jason is Richard Brooker, Steve Dash, Ted White, C.J. Graham, or even Dick Wieand as Roy, you can check them all out now on Hulu.
