Burger King will soon be introducing the perfect sandwich for Stranger Things fans, unveiling a limited time offering called the Upside Down Whopper. Of course, it’s basically just a regular Whopper flipped completely upside down. However, what makes it truly awesome is how the meal will be served in retro packaging with ’80s Burger King and Coke logos. Special limited edition ketchup packets, Burger King crown, pins, and T-shirts will also be made available.
The Upside Down Whopper will start being sold on June 21. The sandwich will only be available in several major United States cities, including Miami, Houston, Boston, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Dallas, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and New York. You may need to check with your local Burger King restaurants about the availability of the special sandwich. Of course, you can simply turn a sandwich upside down yourself, although it wouldn’t come in that tubular retro packaging.
Additionally, the restaurant will be offering another Stranger Things special called the “Hopper meal,” giving those who order it “exclusive” content. You’ll have to purchase this one using DoorDash for $5 by using the code “STRANGER” when placing your order. The company will also be giving away a Stranger Things VIP experience with an instant-win game tied to the promotion.
As for Stranger Things, the show is now just weeks away from premiering its third season on Netflix. In Season 3, “School’s out, there’s a brand new mall in town, and the Hawkins crew are on the cusp of adulthood. Romance blossoms and complicates the group’s dynamic, and they’ll have to figure out how to grow up without growing apart.” Of course, in addition to all of the fan favorite characters coming back, evil will be returning as well, and the kids must band together to survive once again as they have before.
