If you ask us, the animated version of Toxie from Toxic Crusaders is just as iconic as the live-action version from The Toxic Avenger. With that said, we can’t help but be amazed by the new Toxic Crusaders Deluxe Toxie figure coming from Super7, The toy looks reminiscent of the original Toxic Crusaders figure line from Playmates Toys in 1991, and even comes with similar accessories.
Pre-orders will cost you $35 and will be accepted for the Deluxe Toxie figure at the Super7 website until June 30. According to the product description, shipping is anticipated to occur in February 2020. There are no pictures of the packaging yet, but the figure itself is truly toxerrific. Per Super7, here’s what all the 7-inch Deluxe Toxie figure will come in deluxe packaging with the following accessories:
- Alternate Head (not shown)
- Bandolier with Toxic Grenades
- Blobbie
- Glow in the Dark Eye
- Mop
- Shield
- Tutu (not shown)
To be clear, this is separate from the regular ReAction figures for The Toxic Avenger released by Super7 in 2017. A variant of that figure featured Toxie in the bright colors as he wore in Toxic Crusaders. While those were pretty awesome in their own right, the new Deluxe Toxie figure is very impressive. Also unveiled by the company are Deluxe figures for Voltron and Ren & Stimpy. You can pre-order them all now over at Super7.
This seems to be a great time to be pushing new Toxie merchandise, as the monster hero will soon be heading to the big screen. It was reported earlier this year The Toxic Avenger was going to be rebooted by Macon Blair (I Don’t Feel At Home in This World Anymore). There’s no word yet on a release date, but for every fan of the original TROMA movies, hopefully the reboot will do Toxie justice.
