Tom Atkins Wants a Cameo in Upcoming ‘Halloween’ Sequels

Halloween III: Season of the Witch | Universal Pictures

You never know who might show up in Blumhouse’s upcoming Halloween sequels, but we very well could see a Tom Atkins cameo. One of the best aspects of David Gordon Green’s Halloween was just how much it paid homage to the films in the series before it. Some tributes were more obvious than others, and as a fan, it’s fun to spot the Easter eggs when watching the movie. Even the black sheep of the franchise, Halloween III: Season of the Witch, was given some love by including three trick-or-treaters wearing Silver Shamrock Halloween masks.

It has since been reported two new Halloween sequels are in the works, leaving Halloween III fans to wonder if there will be any more Easter eggs. Speaking with ComicBook.com, star Tom Atkins says he’s on board to appear in the movies in a cameo, and all it would take is a phone call from Blumhouse. “I would love to do a cameo in one of the new ones, I’d jump right in that,” Atkins says. “I would love to do that. I haven’t seen Jamie [Lee Curtis recently]. A lot of people think, ‘Oh my God, all you Hollywood people live on the same block, and you see each other all the time.’ And we don’t.”

While Laurie Strode wasn’t present in Halloween III, Jamie Lee Curtis still had a cameo in the film as a voice on a loudspeaker. This does make Atkins and Curtis Halloween franchise co-stars in a way, but it would certainly be awesome to actually see the two Halloween stars finally on the screen together at the same time in a Halloween movie. Of course, the two were fantastic together in The Fog, another one of John Carpenter’s films. Hopefully, Jason Blum and David Gordon Green are taking note, as an Atkins and Curtis reunion would be amazing for horror fans.

Halloween Kills premieres in theaters on Oct. 16, 2020, and Halloween Ends will follow a year later on Oct. 15, 2021.
