Heroes of Homegrown Horror Return with ‘Hi-Fear’ in Early 2020

Hi-Fear

Fans of shot-on-video, underground, and regional horror rejoice, the filmmakers who brought you 2013’s Hi-8 (Horror Independent 8) and 2018’s Hi-Death are back with their upcoming film, Hi-Fear. These anthology films serve as fun and often shocking tributes to the SOV and straight-to-video horror flicks of the video rental days.

What makes the previous films in the series so special is the involvement of a handful of icons of underground horror. Brad Sykes (Death Factory), Todd Sheets (Zombie Bloodbath), and Tim Ritter (Killing Spree) are all set to return with new sick and twisted entries to Hi-Fear.

“WHAT ARE YOU AFRAID OF?”

Nightfall Pictures is proud to officially announce that Hi-Fear, the third and final film in the Hi-8 series, is now in production.

Like Hi-8: Horror Independent Eight and Hi-Death, Hi-Fear is executive produced by Brad Sykes and Josephina Sykes of Nightfall Pictures.

The film will feature all-new stories written and directed by Tim Ritter (Truth or Dare, Killing Spree), Todd Sheets (Bonehill Road, Dreaming Purple Neon), Brad Sykes (Camp Blood, Plaguers) and Tony Goggles (Sodomaniac, Hi-Death). Sykes, Ritter, and Sheets have been with the series from the beginning and have written and directed segments for all three films.

The cast includes scream queens Dilynn Fawn Harvey (Clownado) and Julie Ann Prescott (House of Blood, Deadly Dares).

This time around, the filmmakers have been challenged to explore their deepest fears. Several of the segments for Hi-Fear have completed principal photography or are currently in post, with an anticipated completion date of early 2020.
