Every ‘Scream’ Movie Is Streaming on Netflix This Week

October means Halloween season, which also means horror fans have another excuse to revisit some of the genre’s best franchises. Of course, Scream is high atop the list for many Wes Craven fans. Beginning with the 1996 original and concluding with Scream 4 in 2011, the series tells the story of Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and the constant attempts on her life from murderers wearing Ghostface masks. Now, Netflix subscribers can watch through all four installments of the horror movie series, but they’ll have less than a week to do it!

In a new tweet posted to the official Netflix account on Twitter, the streaming giant confirms all four films are currently available on the service. “A lot can happen in a lifetime,” the caption reads, posted along with a collage of Sidney Prescott from all four films. “For the next six days, you can marathon all four Scream movies on NetflixUS – take a stab at it!” the tweet adds, meaning we have just under a week to binge them all.

Inspired by horror films, two killers were behind the mask in the original film. The slasher series has since comprised of a whodunit format with each sequel as well, making it a mystery as to whom to the killer (or killers) will be. Prior to his passing, Craven had expressed his desire to direct Scream 5 and possibly even Scream 6, though his death obviously put a stop to those plans. While there have been multiple TV reboots and a movie remake is possible, it seems unlikely the original series will continue without having Craven at the helm.

On the fence about revisiting the series? Take a peek at the original trailer for the first film below!

Synopsis: Sidney, attempting to cope with her mother’s mysterious murder, and her horror movie-obsessed friends are stalked by an unknown killer who seems to have a hard time letting the past go.
