Bong Joon Ho’s Parasite is now available to rent or purchase on Digital, and the critically acclaimed film will be arriving on home video later this month. Both the Blu-ray and DVD versions of the movie will be released on Jan. 28. Also included in the special features for the Blu-ray and DVD release is a Q&A session with Bong Joon Ho.
Releasing in theaters last year, Parasite is widely considered by many who’ve seen it to be one of the very best films of 2019 – if not the best of them all. The film is up for many Oscars at the 92nd Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Director, and Best International Feature Film. Additionally, Parasite won the award for Best Foreign Language Film at the Golden Globe Awards. Needless to say, there’s a lot of buzz around the film, and the powerful movie should make a nice addition to any movie lover’s collection.

Synopsis: Meet the Park family, the picture of aspirational wealth. And the Kim family, rich in street smarts but not much else. Be it chance or fate, these two houses are brought together and the Kims sense a golden opportunity. Masterminded by college-aged Ki Woo, the Kim children expediently install themselves as tutor and art therapist to the Parks. Soon, a symbiotic relationship forms between the two families. The Kims provide “indispensable” luxury services while the Parks obliviously bankroll their entire household. When a parasitic interloper threatens the Kims’ newfound comfort, a savage, underhanded battle for dominance breaks out, threatening to destroy the fragile ecosystem between the Kims and the Parks. By turns darkly hilarious and heartwrenching, Parasite showcases a modern master at the top of his game.
