Netflix Renews ‘Castlevania’ for Season 4

Castlevania Season 3 | Netflix

If you’ve been enjoying Castlevania on Netflix, then you should be happy to know the streamer has renewed the series for a fourth season. Earlier this month, Season 3 of the series premiered in its entirety on Netflix, and like prior seasons, it was very well-received critically. Lots of people must have been watching too, as now the word of the renewal comes straight from Netflix on Twitter by way of a reveal through an animation of Sir Mirror’s box. “You didn’t think we’d leave all that bloody business unfinished, did you?” the official Castlevania Twitter account also adds.

Although the third season of Castlevania left open plenty of possibilities for the series moving forward, it wasn’t clear if the series would get a renewal. After all, you never really know with Netflix, as the company has notoriously axed popular shows early on into their runs on the streaming service. In any case, it’s awesome to see the series moving forward, as it’s among the very best television video game adaptations — rivaled only by The Super Mario Bros. Super Show (which is also streaming on Netflix).

No premiere date is given for Castlevania Season 4, but it’s not unusual for Netflix to hold off giving specific dates until rather soon before the premiere. Still, it’s nice to know more new episodes are on the way. As of now, all three seasons of Castlevania can be streamed in their entirety on Netflix. You can watch the Season 3 trailer below.

Synopsis: When his wife is burned at the stake after being falsely accused of witchcraft, the vampire Count Dracula declares all the people of Wallachia will pay with their lives. He summons an army of demons which overruns the country, causing the people to live lives of fear and distrust.
