Neill Blomkamp, director of District 9 (2009), Elysium (2013), and Chappie (2015), has revealed first looks at his upcoming horror film Demonic. The project began secretly shooting in 2020 and stars Carly Pope, Chris William Martin, and Michael Rogers.
A young woman unleashes terrifying demons when supernatural forces at the root of a decades old rift between mother and daughter are ruthlessly revealed in this horror-thriller.
To announce the film, Blomkamp shared rare behind-the-scenes 8mm footage shot by the director himself. The grainy video shows levitation, exorcism tools, and a drone in use. Check it out for yourself below:

Along with the footage, two new stills were also released.
Demonic hits theaters on August 20, 2021, and On Demand and Digital on August 27, 2021.
