The new Chucky trailer landed before the Child’s Play series’ October 12th premiere on USA Network and SYFY. The show picks up after the events of 2017’s Cult of Chucky, and Don Mancini, who penned the film franchise, wrote the television adaptation, will direct the first episode, and serves as showrunner.
Chucky is bringing back fan-favorite actors and characters, including Brad Dourif as the voice of Chucky, Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, and Christine Elise McCarthy as Kyle. Other cast members include Devon Sawa, Zackary Arthur, Teo Briones, Alyvia Alyn Lind, Björgvin Arnarson, Barbara Alyn Woods, and Lexa Doig.
In the new television series, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos after a vintage ‘Good Guy’ doll turns up at a suburban yard sale. Soon, everyone must grapple with a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose the town’s deep hypocrisies and hidden secrets.
Meanwhile, friends and foes from Chucky’s past creep back into his world and threaten to expose the truth behind his mysterious origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

Chucky is produced by UCP and executive produced by creator Don Mancini, David Kirschner, Nick Antosca, and Alex Hedlund. Harley Peyton will also serve as executive producer.
The series is not related to the 2019 Child’s Play film, which served as a remake of the original 1988 film and as a reboot of the film series. It was directed by Lars Klevberg and stars Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman, and Mark Hamill as the voice of Chucky.
