Sarah Michelle Gellar to Lead ‘Teen Wolf’ Offshoot ‘Wolf Pack’

The upcoming Teen Wolf offshoot Wolf Pack has just secured Buffy the Vampire Slayer lead Sarah Michelle Gellar as its main star. Per Deadline, Gellar has signed on to star in the series, with her casting revealed during the Teen Wolf: The Movie panel at San Diego Comic-Con. Gellar, a favorite in the genre, is also on board to executive produce the Wolf Pack series for Paramount+ and MTV Entertainment Studios.

In Wolf Pack, Gellar will play Kristin Ramsey, an arson investigator who’s “a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.”

Wolf Pack, based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, is written by Teen Wolf developer-EP Jeff Davis, who also executive produces with Gellar, Joe Genier and Mike Elliott of Capital Arts, and Jason Ensler. Along with Gellar in the lead, the series stars Armani Jackson as Everett, Bella Shepard as Blake, Chloe Rose Robertson as Luna, and Tyler Lawrence Gray as Harlan.

Gellar is very well known for her role on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer which starred the actress as the titular teenager. She also won a Daytime Emmy Award for her work on All My Children and had a major role in the CW series Ringer. Her other recent small screen work includes The Crazy Ones, Star Wars Rebels, and The Big Bang Theory. Last year, she was featured in a main role as the voice of Teela in Kevin Smith’s animated Netflix series Masters of the Universe: Revelation.
