With Halloween Ends concluding the Laurie Strode vs. Michael Myers saga, one way to go with the next inevitable reboot would be to bring back another legacy character from another of the franchise’s many timelines. While Judy Greer played Laurie’s daughter in the Blumhouse trilogy, longtime Halloween fans will certainly remember when former child star Danielle Harris played Jamie Lloyd, Laurie Strode’s first on-screen child. Harris played the role in parts 4 and 5 before the role was recast in part 6, with the character unceremoniously killed off.
Years later, Harris was able to return to the franchise when Rob Zombie rebooted the horror movie series in 2007. She played a new version of Annie Brackett, going on to reprise that role in the 2009 sequel. After Blumhouse brought back JLC for the 2018 Halloween film, Harris expressed her desire to appear in the sequel in some way, though the cameo never materialized. There’s no indication she appears in Halloween Ends, either.
In any case, with that particular timeline coming to an end in October, Harris is ready to rejoin the franchise again, this time returning to her roots with the return of Jamie Lloyd. While it’s true that Jamie was killed with a new actress in the role in Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers, that wouldn’t matter at all, as the Blumhouse trilogy chose to simply ignore the other times in the series when Laurie Strode had died. Certainly, the same could be done for a new Halloween film that only acknowledged The Return of Michael Myers and The Revenge of Michael Myers.
That’s what Harris is hoping for. Taking to Instagram, Harris posted some photos from her time on the Zombie movies and reflected on her film career. She admits to not really knowing what she wanted to do with her film work before realizing how much she loves being a part of Halloween, expressing how grateful she is to have been in four installments. She also teases the return of Jamie Lloyd, making it clear she’s happy to bring her back for one more battle with Michael, as the character’s mother is doing with Halloween Ends.

“15 years ago this weekend my career changed the rest of my lives path. I was stuck in a career that was struggling not knowing who I was supposed to be when it had been chosen for me 35 years ago…I just was too young to understand it.
Thank you (Rob Zombie and Malek Akkad) for making that happen. I’m forever grateful to all my fans for welcoming me back into the “Halloween” franchise with so much love and support. I LOVE the horror community and the forever friends I’ve been making along the way!
Now we just need to bring “Jamie” back for a final showdown with the Boogeyman…”
