Word has broken out that Blumhouse is prepping for a new Halloween movie, but not everyone is thrilled. As a sequel to the 2018 film from director David Gordon Green, the upcoming film will take place in the new continuity established by Blumhouse. Of course, it’s expected Jamie Lee Curtis will be back once again as Laurie Strode to continue her 40-year-old feud with Michael Myers. However, if you ask Danielle Harris, it’s time for the series to bring back Jamie Lloyd instead.
Big fans of the Halloween series will remember Harris playing Laurie’s daughter, Jamie Lloyd, in Halloween 4 and 5. In that movie timeline, Laurie had been killed off-screen in a car accident, resulting in Jamie living with a foster family. Jamie then serves as the primary protagonist of the series for a time, becoming just as much of an important part of the franchise in her own right. In fact, next to Laurie and Dr. Loomis, you could say Jamie is the most notable and memorable of all of Michael’s enemies. For many fans, it would be amazing to see an adult Harris reprising the role to battle Michael once again, and if you’re one of those fans, Harris agrees with you.
Taking to Twitter, Harris expressed her displeasure in hearing about a new sequel going into production. She reiterates her desire to bring back Jamie in a new Halloween movie, even suggesting a petition for Blumhouse to make it happen. You can take a look at the tweet below.
I can’t believe they’re making another Halloween. Maybe one day they’ll bring me back as Jamie!! I think we should start a petition! Who wants to??? #halloween #horrormovies @blumhouse @Halloweenmovies

Of course, Jamie Lloyd was killed early into Halloween 6 when the role was recast with another actress. However, as 2018’s Halloween proves, dying in a previous sequel doesn’t mean a character can’t return in a new movie. Laurie infamously died in Halloween: Resurrection only for David Gordon Green’s film to save her by restarting the story. Why can’t the same be done for Jamie Lloyd? Hopefully, we’ll all see Harris back in the series in some way or another soon enough, even if it’s in the form of a simple cameo.

Why cant she just get over it already?
Danielle Harris should instead star in,write, produce, and direct her very own Jamie Lloyd spin-off film and have a crowdfunding campaign for it. As well as bring in Scout Taylor Compton,Kristina Klebe, and Sybil Danning as new characters.
