Jeff Daniel Phillips has a career spanning three decades in television and film. He would eventually forge a relationship with filmmaker and musician Rob Zombie that would lead him to roles in Halloween II (2009), 3 from Hell (2019), 31 (2016), The Lords of Salem (2012), and most recently as Herman Munster in The Munsters (2022).
Phillips’ pedigree has only grown with numerous roles in other genre fare, as well as being a fan favorite at horror conventions. People sometimes fail to realize that he’s done extensive work behind the camera on music videos and shorts as a director. Most recently, the multi-talented artist wrote, directed, produced, and starred in Cursed in Baja (2024), which hits select theaters and VOD on October 29th. A physical release on DVD and Blu-ray will follow from Anchor Bay Entertainment on December 10th.
Pirelli (Jeff Daniel Phillips) is an ex-lawman who has served time in prison and is ready to move on to the next phase of his life. He’s offered a job by a millionaire that he wants nothing to do with. Reluctantly, he agrees to head to Mexico to search for an heir to a Los Angeles fortune. It should be a walk in the park, but everything quickly unravels.

I recently talked with Phillips about his work with Zombie on The Munsters, the process of making Cursed in Baja, and how thirty years in the business have led him to this point in his career. Check out the interview and trailer below.
Cursed in Baja will be in select theaters and on VOD on October 29th. The Blu-ray, which will be released on December 10th, can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
