From a very early age, Samantha Brown loved acting and wanted to pursue it as a career. However, the path that brought her to the world of acting and the hit TV show From was anything but straightforward.
Earning a degree in business, she jumped into the corporate world but soon found that trying to balance that life while pursuing acting was not working. To that end, she decided to leave the corporate world behind and pursue a full-time acting career. Between Los Angeles and Toronto, she honed her craft with training and work as a casting reader for some of Canada’s most renowned casting directors.
Her big break came with a recurring role on FX’s Y: The Last Man. Her experience in the world of television over the years, combined with her work habits and talent, all came to a head when she nabbed the role of police officer Acosta on the horror/thriller TV show From.
Now in its third season, the series (MGM+ in the USA, Paramount+ in Canada) tells the story of people stuck in a town with seemingly no escape. While trapped, they are being hunted at night by creatures that will do everything they can to ensure they never leave.
