For better or worse, Full Moon’s Evil Bong films have captured the minds of stoners everywhere for nearly twenty years. With nine films to tell the tale, it’s one of their longest-running series next to Puppet Master and maybe even Demonic Toys if you count all the spin-offs.

I’ve always found them to be goofy fun, and when you’re having a movie night with friends (that may or may not include partaking in a substance commonly used within a bong), you couldn’t ask for a more appropriate film(s). Previously only available in their Stash Box boxset, Full Moon has released Evil Bong-A-Thon, and it’s exactly what you’d expect.

Fire up your brain cell and blast off into two decades of bonkers, baked-out Evil Bong madness! It’s the ULTIMATE hookah horror hootenanny, rolling together the most deliriously dumb HIGHlights from all nine smoke-soaked misadventures of Ebee and her gang of stoned lunatics. And guess what? The Gingerdead Man drops by to crumb up the chaos!

Evil Bong-A-Thon isn’t just a movie marathon — it’s a fog-brained freak show stuffed inside a party-size bong rip. It’s dumber than you expect, weirder than it should be, and exactly what your questionable life choices ordered. Pass it left, dude.

I almost don’t know how to review Evil Bong-A-Thon, as it’s just a highlight reel from all nine films. What exactly can I say? One of the drawbacks is that fans have seen it all before, and there’s nothing new to be included. It covers nine films in ninety minutes, so you just kind of get what you get.

On the other hand, the collection has everything fans enjoy about the films, in small doses, and keeps you entertained throughout. There are classic appearances by Tommy Chong, Robin Sydney, Diana Prince, Peter Donald Badalamenti II, and many more. It’s not the first time Full Moon has released what I consider party tapes, such as Bimbo Movie Bash, Nazithon, Famous T&A, and a few others. The market is strictly for fans of their product, like me, and it hits the spot.

Evil Bong-A-Thon features a few decent extras, including the ultimate Bong trailer reel, behind-the-scenes footage, Bong Crazy promo reels, the Evil Bong 3D premiere in Chicago, Videozone Spotlight: Robin Sydney, and a collection of Full Moon trailers.

The company has a rabid fan base, and for thirty-six years, they’ve never failed to keep them coming back for more. They’ve survived the VHS era, the DVD/Blu-ray era, and morphed into streaming entertainment. Full Moon shows no signs of slowing down by keeping up with modern trends while still grasping onto that sense of fantasy and excitement they first brought to the screen in the late ’80s.
