Eli Roth delivered a horror hit in 2023 with the release of the holiday slasher movieĀ Thanksgiving. Amid the movie’s success, Roth went ahead and announced that he was moving forward with an official sequel. However, after more than two years later, Thanksgiving 2 has still not started production with no release date on the board.
Recently speaking with Variety, Roth shared an update onĀ Thanksgiving 2. He reiterated that everyone on the team is still eager to get the movie made, but the project isn’t yet quite ready to start filming. The director hinted that the hold-up will be aligning everybody’s schedules, leaving it still unclear when the sequel will move forward. Reportedly, production was postponed due to star Addison Rae’s current concert tour and co-star Milo Manheim’s casting in a live-action Tangled remake.
āEverybody wants to do it,” Roth explained. “Iām gonna have it locked and loaded, and weāll find a time when weāre all available. Weāll just go back for a few weeks and have fun.ā

There’s no telling when everybody will get on the same page forĀ Thanksgiving 2.
