Night Trap is back. No, this is not fake news. This is legit. The Twitter announcement from Limited Run Games has caused a stir due to the controversy surrounding the original 1992 movie game. For those who are unfamiliar (or too young to remember), Night Trap has been cited as one of the main reasons the ESRB was created in 1994 due to ultra-violence. Also, it’s been called one of the worst games of all time. Although, that didn’t stop it from doing surprisingly well in the UK (read into that what you will) and becoming a financial success.

During a slumber party, a special team called SCAT (Special Control Attack Team) try to prevent vampiric creatures, called Augers, from sucking the blood out of the young women staying there. By controlling hidden cameras around the house, you set traps, saving the women.
Now, you can relive those moments this spring with the game’s 25th anniversary re-release on Xbox One PlayStation 4, with physical versions available for PS4. There will be three different covers, each based on one of the three original US Sega CD releases. This time around, the game will be rated T for Teen.
