As a console gamer, one of the first things I look forward to each month are the new free games. It always gives me a chance to check out some titles I may have missed when they first came around, and sometimes, they turn out to be really awesome. Now, we know what to look forward to for the month of April 2018, courtesy of IGN!
First, let’s talk about what’s in store for Xbox Games With Gold. All month long, those playing on the One will be able to download The Witness, a unique but difficult puzzle game. Then, from April 16 through May 15, gamers can pick up the acclaimed sequel Assassin’s Creed Syndicate. Additionally, the backwards compatible 360 games Cars 2 (April 1 – 15) and Dead Space 2 will also be available for Gold subscribers.
Playing on the PS4? Then here’s what you can expect in April for those free PS Plus games. On the PS4, both Mad Max and TrackMania Turbo will be available for you to download. The PS3 games In Space We Brawl and Toy Home are free for the month as well, with 99 Vitas and Q*Bert Rebooted available for Vita players.
If you ask me, the standout title here would be Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate. Though I enjoy the franchise, there are a few titles in the series that I missed, and this is one of them. Hopefully, there’s something listed above that appeals to you too.
