SDCC 2019: NECA’s Toony Terrors – Series 2 Figures Unveiled

NECA

While NECA is always impressing collectors with their attention to detail in their Ultimate action figures of many horror movie characters, their separate line of “Toony Terrors” figures is much more fun. Resembling the villains seen in Scooby-Doo and other Hanna-Barbera animated shows, these versions of the villains look much more like they’d be at home in a Saturday morning cartoon. Now, from San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) 2019, the company has just unveiled their Series 2 line of the figures.

Previously, the Toony Terrors figures included Jason Voorhees, Freddy Krueger, and both versions of Pennywise. Now, we get to see our first look at Hellraiser‘s Pinhead, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre‘s Leatherface, and Halloween‘s Michael Myers (with jack-o-lantern accessory). The figures stand at 6 inches tall and come in blister card packaging with a bonus cutout backdrop for display purposes. Whether you’re intending to just grab one or all of these figures, the Toony Terrors seem like a really fun addition for any horror collector’s collection. The figures have been given a shipping date for October 2019.

Additionally, a two-pack of Toony Terrors figures was also announced, featuring the horror genre’s favorite murderous couple. This set includes both Chucky and Tiffany as seen in Bride of Chucky from the Child’s Play franchise. They’ll match the other figures in the line by standing at six inches tall, also coming in blister card packaging with its own bonus cutout backdrop. This special two-pack will arrive a little bit later than the other guys, as it’s been giving a shipping date of November 2019.

While you have to wait to be able to take these figures home, you won’t need to for your first look at them. You can take a peek at some photos of Michael Myers, Leatherface, Pinhead, and Chucky & Tiffany below, courtesy of NECA on Facebook!
