EDIT: DC has since removed the premiere episode of Harley Quinn from their official YouTube account.
Kaley Cuoco stars as the Maid of Mischief in the new DC Universe series Harley Quinn, and the first episode is now free to watch on YouTube. With the story picking up after Harley’s break-up with her toxic boyfriend (a fellow called the “Joker,” maybe you’ve heard of him), the series will introduce a new team of criminal cohorts for Harley to team up with, and the show gives us everything we’ve come to expect from a Harley Quinn-led series.
Harley Quinn was developed for television by Justin Halpern, Dean Lorey, and Patrick Schumacker. In addition to Cuoco as Harley Quinn, the series also features the voice talents of Alan Tudyk as the Joker, Diedrich Bader as Bruce Wayne, Lake Bell as Poison Ivy, Giancarlo Esposito as Lex Luthor, Ron Funches as King Shark, Chris Meloni as James Gordon, and J. B. Smoove as Frank the Plant.
Called “Til Death Do Us Part,” the premiere episode of Harley Quinn certainly sets the tone for what you can expect from the series. Despite its colorful animation, the show is certainly not for kids. With its raunchy humor and over-the-top violence, the show is definitely tons of fun, but it’s one to be enjoyed for more mature DC fans looking for an animated series with a bit of an edge.
Season 1 of Harley Quinn is now streaming on DC Universe, with new episodes releasing on Fridays. You can check it out by getting their free trial. For now, you can watch the trailer below, courtesy of DC.
