The upcoming psychological thriller Mixxer has added two key cast members in Tara Reid and Paul Mormando. Directed by Caster Fagan, the film will be produced by Paul Mormando and Laura La Monaco. Also on board is award-winning director of photography Paris Holmes to shoot the film. Additionally, it has been announced Mormando will be starring in the movie as well, joining the cast in a lead role alongside Sharknado star Tara Reid.
Mixxer will follow a Thomas J. O’Brien as Brian Weiland, an “ex-military man who has settled into a job as a bartender at the local pub. After a difficult night, Brian is forced to face his own demons as he goes through a series of events that may or may not put him at the center of a crime, which he may or may not have committed.” As for Reid, the Sharknado star will play Rachel Alexis, a noisy meddling reporter. Meanwhile, Mormando will play Morty, a character described as the local town drunk.
Filming on Mixxer was scheduled to start next month, but production has been delayed until this summer due to COVID-19 concerns. Stay tuned for future updates on its progress. For now, you can take a peek at a teaser poster below.
