James Bond. The name needs no explanation, as Ian Fleming’s classic books and their movie adaptations have created a devoted fanbase. Yet beyond the character himself lies something unmistakable, even to the most casual of fans: the music that drives the movies from beginning to end.
The James Bond theme is iconic, and the orchestra that drives it will now be on display for fans to enjoy. This October, The Music of Bond…James Bond comes to the famous Roy Thomson Hall in Toronto for three performances. They will be backed by the always outstanding Toronto Symphony Orchestra.
The three shows, spread over two days, October 14 and 15, will bring the iconic sounds of James Bond to life with pieces from such films as Live and Let Die, Skyfall, Diamonds Are Forever, and Goldfinger. Everyone has their favorite 007 film but also their favorite songs or scores, so music lovers will be in for a treat.

Along with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the professional yet entertaining conductor Steven Reineke leading the way, these shows will offer an added bonus. Joining Reineke and the TSO will be Tony Award-winning Lena Hall, whose powerful voice and interpretation of the songs will only add to an already impressive lineup. Hall, whose resume includes work as a rock singer and solo conceptual artist, is sure to bring the songs to new heights and make it a performance to remember.
