Recently, remastered games have been coming out and the inner child that remembers them is overjoyed. Some of the more recent titles that have been given the treatment have been Darksiders, Grand Theft Auto 5, Resident Evil and Skyrim– just to name a few. Now, Sony and LucasArts have just revealed to the world that 1995’s Full Throttle, a point and click gem from developer Double Fine, is next.
That’s right, Ben and the Polecats are back!
Out of all the titles that have already had the clean up, Full Throttle is the one I’ve been hoping and waiting for. I’ve been anticipating it since playing Double Fine’s remastered Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango. The graphics will be nice and polished, but the gameplay we know and love is still there. Same applies for the music, as they’ve kept the theme song from The Gone Jackals. Looks like that everything you know and love about this game, is still there and raring to go.
Sony decided to release the official trailer prior to the PlayStation Experience event that’s happening this weekend. Be sure to check it below:
Exciting, right!? So far, they’ve confirmed release for 2017, so we’re getting close to cruising down the pixelated highway on Ben’s hog. If you’re still needing your point and click fill, both Day of the Tentacle and Grim Fandango are available now on PlayStation, Windows and Mac.
