It’s been said that in space no one can hear you scream, but in VR, everyone can hear you! That’s right scare fans, plans are officially in place to adapt Ridley Scott’s Alien prequel but Prometheus sequel Alien: Covenant into a playable world for all major VR platforms.
Fox Innovation Lab, the game’s developer, has described it as “a dread inducing journey into the depths of the Alien universe”, and the even better news is that the game will be produced by Scott himself, which should guarantee that authentic Alien feel.
If you’ve ever wondered what it might be like to get up close and personal with an actual Xenomorph then you’re about to have your question answered. Let’s just hope it’s better than Scott’s last VR movie tie-in for his sleeper hit The Martian.
