The second annual Happenstance Horror Fest is taking place June 13th, 2017 at Chunky’s Cinema & Pub in Haverhill Massachusetts. Last year, the sold out festival featured films from Luchagore Productions, Heidi Moore, Patrick Rea, Andy Stewart, Katie Bonham, and many more.
Happenstance Horror Fest is a great way to celebrate and discover new indie horror. The event organizers are working hard to ensure that guests leave feeling like a part of the community with new memories and friends. Attendees can expect a red carpet lobby entrance with local and national press, vendors, and countless networking opportunities.
If you’re a filmmaker, the festival is now accepting submissions by clicking here. General submission rules:
– Films must be under 20 minutes
– Films must be in English or subtitled
– All entries must be complete
– All films considered regardless of budget
There will be best of awards given out for 3 major categories. A panel of special guest and celebrity judges will determine the winners:
– Best local (films made within New England)
– Best national (films made in the USA)
– Best international (films made outside of the USA)
The event audience will also be given a chance to vote for:
– Crowd Favorite Awards
– Best Actor
– Best FX
– Best Score
– Best Death Scene
