Last month will probably go on record as the most loaded March across all mediums. Video games, films, and TV series’ premieres ran amok and destroyed our free time. As I briefly peel myself away from Dallas International Film Festival (DIFF) screenings, let’s look at the April 2017 films that are most likely to tickle one’s fancy.
Outside of these 8 films, you still have Fate of the Furious, The Transfiguration, Born in China, The Circle, and so many more that could pass the time in an enjoyable fashion. Enjoy this somewhat-quiet month of content before the summer movie season further dismantles your spare time.
8. Small Crimes
Release Date: April 28th
The third and final Netflix Original comes from director/co-writer Evan Katz, who last helmed 2014’s outrageous dark comedy Cheap Thrills. In Small Crimes, Jaime Lannister himself (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) stars as a former police officer recently let out of prison for attempted murder. Small Crimes is also advertised as another shocking dark comedy, so we’re on board for this streaming release. Early film festival screening reactions ensure that this will not only be an amusing time, but one of quality.
