During this year’s Bethesda E3 Conference, Vice President of Bethesda Softworks, Pete Hines, took to the stage to show the trailer for the new Dishonored 2 DLC, Dishonored: Death of the Outsider.
While we didn’t get to see any actual gameplay, a short cinematic trailer was shown, hinting at the game’s content. From the footage shown, we can assume that Death of the Outsider takes place after the events of Arkane Studios‘ Dishonored 2. Players will take on the role of notorious Dishonored villain turned ally, Billy Lurk.
The trailer shows Billy infiltrating a heavily guarded area to rescue her former mentor, Daud. Dishonored fans will remember Daud as the antagonist of the first game, and the protagonist of its two DLC installments. Upon freeing her aged and grey best frenemy, Daud states his intention to hunt and kill The Outsider. The Outsider being the mysterious and near godlike being that blessed (or cursed) them with their powers. Billy Lurk also notably sports a fancy looking eye patch and a new, seemingly magical replacement arm.
