Friday the 13th: The Game Shelly Larry Zerner 1

Shelly Finkelstein is an incredibly important character in the Friday the 13th franchise, despite only appearing in one film and dying at the hands of Jason Voorhees. In 1982’s Friday the 13th Part III, Shelly (played by Larry Zerner) essentially gave Jason his now iconic hockey mask and, thus, horror history was made.

The latest addition in the Friday the 13th franchise isn’t a film, but Friday the 13th: The Game, which is available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. The game pays some serious fan service through locations, Jason models, and film-inspired characters. Recently, Friday the 13th: The Game added fan favorite Fox, who was played by the late Gloria Charles, also from Part III. This, along with mentions of Zerner hanging out with the team behind the game (see below), had fans speculating that Shelly may be coming soon.

Well, it looks like we finally have our answer! Shelly is definitely coming back to camp and will be free with an upcoming patch. The update will be available on PlayStation 4 and Steam on December 18th with Xbox One following shortly after.

Along with Shelly, the game is soon adding a higher level cap, new kills, new skins, clothing, the Virtual Cabin 2.0, and more.

There are definitely some exciting things coming to the game soon. You can check out the new trailer featuring Shelly below!
