Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is agreed upon by critics that it’s an awesome movie… for the most part, anyway.

Currently at the online movie review website Rotten Tomatoes, the critics’ scores for the new effort from Marvel and Disney are pouring in. Combined, they’re giving the new movie a “fresh” score of 90% based on all available reviews. While not exactly the 100% score its Marvel predecessor Black Panther had achieved prior to launch, a 90% rating is still extremely high, and should help fans feel better as we near the release date.

Of course, the number on the Tomatometer is bound to fluctuate as more reviews come in. But as it’s already averaging at 90%, we’re not likely to see that number sink too far. What we can gather here is that the critical consensus seems to be pretty positive, which isn’t unusual for MCU movies. If only DC-based flicks were able to do say the same!

As reported here at Horror Geek Life, early projections for the film have it making around half a billion dollars worldwide in opening weekend ticket sales alone. People are already lining up, so to speak, regardless of what’s on the Tomatometer. But that high score will certainly make fans feel better about those ticket purchases.

Synopsis: Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet — the evil Thanos. On a mission to collect all six Infinity Stones, Thanos plans to use the artifacts to inflict his twisted will on reality. The fate of the planet and existence itself has never been more uncertain as everything the Avengers have fought for has led up to this moment.

Judge the film for yourself when it starts playing theaters this weekend. Avengers: Infinity War premieres on April 27th.
