Here at Horror Geek Life, San Diego Comic Con (SDCC) is one of the best times of the year. So many amazing announcements are expected to come out of the annual event, and this year is no exception. Among the many bits of good news to come out of the con, we have an update that’s sure to make every Batman fan happy as well.

Recently, we reported on Batman: The Animated Series finally getting the hi-def treatment for DC’s upcoming streaming service. Considering the outstanding popularity of the show, it’s been a long time coming. Now, the news is getting even better for those who not only wish to stream the remastered episodes, but to own them as well.

On Oct. 16, Batman: The Complete Animated Series will be coming to Blu-ray as well.  It also will be getting a limited edition box set that looks nothing short of incredible. As implied, it contains every episode from the animated show’s original run from 1992 to 1995; the full-length films Batman: Mask of the Phantasm and Mr. Freeze: SubZero are also included. Currently priced at $112.99, you can now pre-order the set at Amazon.

In addition to the entire series and two animated films, there’s tons of other bonus video content to dive into. This includes a new hour-long featurette called “Heart of the Batman.” Other bonuses include several audio commentaries, a deluxe art book with imagery from the series, and even three awesome Funko Pop! figures (Batman, Joker, and Harley Quinn).

Really, the price is fair considering everything included in the package. Although I limit my physical media these days, I’m willing to make an exception for the entire run of Batman’s greatest incantation. And in HD, no less! It’s certainly a great time to be a fan of the Caped Crusader.

Batman: The Complete Animated Series goes on sale on Oct. 16!
