Fallout 76 BETA
Fallout 76 from Bethesda

“Do you have nerves of steel? An ironclad will? Average hygiene and an affinity for pre-packaged goods? Then Vault-Tec WANTS you! If you think you have what it takes to be a B.E.T.A. tester – and enjoy prolonged confinement without sunlight – then you’re in luck! Join the proud ranks of Vault 76 today”

Bethesda has answered some questions regarding their upcoming Fallout 76 BETA (Or, B.E.T.A.- Break it Early Test Application), which is only available for those who pre-order Fallout 76. The game will release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on November 14, 2018 with the BETA accessible sometime in October.

It is important for PC players to know that the PC BETA will not be available on Steam. Instead, it will be exclusive to Bethesda.net, which is the same route Bethesda took with Fallout Shelter. Fallout 76 will be available on Steam at a later date, just not when the BETA launches. You can create an account on the website anytime and install their launcher.

We also learned that any progress made throughout the Fallout 76 BETA will carry over when the full game becomes available. Although getting to play during a BETA can be a great experience, it can be frustrating to have everything you do during the test run undone. So, this is awesome news! Bethesda also says that the full game will be available during this time.

Xbox One will get the Fallout 76 BETA first, followed by PlayStation 4 and PC. The company also welcomes streaming, videos, and screenshots during, so do not be shy about sharing your gameplay!

Fallout 76 is the ninth game to be made within the Fallout universe and serves as a prequel to the entire series. It will be Bethesda’s first online multiplayer game and is set in West Virginia, twenty-five years after the bombs dropped in the great war. Fallout 76 will not feature any NPCs, so everyone you encounter will be other players. It has also been confirmed that the map will be four times the size of the map in Fallout 4.

Check out the trailer below and we’ll see you all soon in West Virginia!
