We certainly don’t have any objections to this news!

Playing as a lawyer in a Nintendo game might not sound thrilling on paper, but Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is tons of fun. When the first game originally released for the Game Boy Advance in 2001, a franchise was born, with several sequels following over the years. Perhaps most revered of all the games, however, remains the first three titles in the trilogy: Phoenix Wright: Ace AttorneyPhoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Justice for All, and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Trials and Tribulations.

In recent years, the three original games were ported to Android, iOS, and Nintendo 3DS as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy. When it comes to mobile gaming, there’s no doubt that the games in this series are some of the most fun you can play. Still, it’s always felt strange that the pointy-haired lawyer never made his way to PC or consoles.

Hold it! That all changes early next year, as Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is heading to consoles and PC in 2019. Not only can PC gamers get the game on Steam, but console gamers will be able to pick it up on the Xbox One, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. The Switch version seems the most ideal, as you’ll still have the option to play the game on the go as well.

In the games, players take on the role of budding lawyer Phoenix Wright. Gameplay alternates between investigating crime scenes and using the evidence you find to win court cases. It’s light-hearted, well-written, and full of humor. There’s definitely a certain charm that the games have to them, and for anyone who hasn’t experienced them so far, now just might be the time to give them a try.
